Trasporto Macchina di Santa Rosa
E’ l’evento più suggestivo ed importante della città di Viterbo. Dopo la sfilata del corteo storico del giorno precedente, e le manifestazioni del pomeriggio, la sera del 3 settembre si ripete ormai da secoli il trasporto della macchina di Santa Rosa, divenuta di recente, patrimonio dell’UNESCO. Un campanile illuminato, alto poco più di 30 metri del peso di 50 quintali, viene portato in spalla, da 100 uomini chiamati Facchini di Santa Rosa, per le vie del centro storico fino ad arrivare al Santuario di Santa Rosa. Durante il trasporto, la macchina effettua più soste nelle piazze lungo il percorso e durante il suo passaggio vengono spente le luci della città. Al termine del trasporto continuano i festeggiamenti con i fuochi d’artificio.

This is the most spellbinding striking and important event for the city of Viterbo,after the parade the day before and afternoon displays, in the evening of the 3 September the haulage of Santa Rosa float which recently has been classified as part of UNESCO patrimony the haulage of the float goes back centuries, the Float’s steeple fully lit and reaching 30 metres with the total float weight of 5 tons is shoulder carried by 100 Porters of St. Rosa, trough the many narrow streets to reach the Sanctuary of St. Rosa. Along the way the Float stops several times while the city light are turned off to give the opportunity to all to admire the spectacle. The day is concluded with a magnificent display of fireworks.
